The Memory Tree

This is The Croft memory tree.

In 2013 the Croft’s former ward manager, Nina Heaps, asked a local artist to design a memory tree so that children could leave a memento of their time at the Croft when they leave. Located in the central atrium, the memory tree covers the whole of one wall and part of another. It’s made of sustainable pine.

Now if only we could stop Croftie eating the leaves.

Croft children design leaves for the tree in a range of autumn colours. When you leave the Croft you can write a message on a leaf and choose where to place it on the memory tree.
